Welcome

Thank you for choosing Abide in the Vine Counseling, PLLC. This document outlines important information regarding your care, rights, responsibilities, and our practice policies. Please read it carefully and let us know if you have any questions.

1. Therapeutic Relationship

Our work together is collaborative. We aim to create a space for healing, empowerment, and personal growth. The counseling relationship is professional and does not include social, financial, or other dual roles.

2. Confidentiality & HIPAA

Your information is protected under HIPAA and Texas state law. Information shared in therapy is confidential unless:

• You consent in writing to a release.

• There is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult.

• There is a serious threat to yourself or others.

• Court-ordered disclosure is required.

Our full HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices is available separately.

3. Scheduling & Cancellations

Sessions are by appointment only. Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur the full session fee unless waived under emergency circumstances. Repeated late cancellations may affect continued services.

4. Fees & Payments

The standard fee is $80-100 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of service via accepted electronic methods.

A sliding scale is available upon request and based on financial need and availability.

You will receive a Good Faith Estimate upon request and as required by law.

5. Telehealth Services

We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions. You are responsible for maintaining your privacy and a stable internet connection. A separate Telehealth Policy is available.

6. Contact & Communication

Email and phone are available for scheduling and brief administrative matters only. Therapeutic issues will be addressed in session. We do not offer 24/7 support. In emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest ER.

7. Social Media & Boundaries

To protect your confidentiality and the integrity of the therapeutic relationship, we do not engage with clients on social media. Please see the separate Social Media Policy for more details.

8. Termination

You may end therapy at any time. We encourage a final session to reflect and plan. If therapy becomes unproductive, or we determine your needs are outside our scope, appropriate referrals will be provided.

9. Consent to Treatment

By signing or continuing therapy, you affirm your understanding of these policies and consent to treatment with Abide in the Vine Counseling, PLLC.
